Happy Adventure House

Located along the North East coast of the island of Newfoundland in the town of Happy Adventure, this residential concept design plays with the line between contemporary East Coast design and tradition through materials as well as spatial and formal compositions familiar to many coastal regions of the island.

This project is as much about the negative space as it is about the positive – the spaces in-between are just as important as the primary spaces both within the house and . A series of shed forms housing the different elements of programming are interconnected by glazed, wooden-clad transitional circulatory spaces. Windows are selectively placed to frame the stunning coastal landscape which surrounds.
